See you January 2nd!
We’ll be having a special 25% off sale all day for all yarns, patterns and needles.
Karoline and I will be in today even though the schools are still closed! There’s only so much hot chocolate and sledding we can manage… :O)
We’ll be open until 8 as usual!
22 inches means that all HC schools are closed. That means I’m home with my kids and a few extra. Be safe out there, and I’ll see you Tuesday!

Winter seems to have finally decided to stay. Here’s hoping you have all your holiday knitting set up in case of bad weather. By the looks of tomorrow’s forcast, it’s looking like a great day to stay home and knit! Make sure you have all you need to finish up your projects. I’ll be here tonight until 5.
I urge everyone to stay home if possible and be safe! I’ll be snuggling home by the fire on Saturday with my birthday girl who’s turning 9!!!
Be safe, see you Monday!

Much fun was had on Saturday, thanks to all who came by!
Come by and check out what’s here all week! Kim and I decided to extend the trunk show until this Saturday, December 19th.
Come by on Saturday the 12th for a chance to purchase some great knitter gifts from Luna Aura.
Kim will be in from 3-6 with yarn, batting and stitch markers for sale! You get a chance to touch and feel the yarns you usually only see online!
Many thanks go to all who braved the weather to attend out charity event this past Saturday!
Thanks to all who donated generously, and for all who came and bid just as generously on the items, Nittany Knits was able to raise over $1,400 for the Helping Kids at Hopkins charity.
To say it made all the planning worth it is an understatement. Opening a shop these days comes with much fear and uncertainty. Knowing that the shop could host this worthwhile event, and seeing all the supporters that I’ve met these past few months, has made it all worth it!
My thanks go out to all my customers, and the new friends I met on a snowy afternoon.
I am blessed.
Take some time this holiday season to help out the kids and families at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center!
On December 5th from Noon-4pm, the shop will be hosting an afternoon auction with great handcrafted items. We’ll be selling patterns from a local designer, as well as a few suprises!
The ravelry group Helping Kids at Hopkins, is collecting Amigurumi toys for the kids, and local Amigurumi designer terpgirl ,aka FreshStitches, is going to be on hand showing off some great things to make for the kids. She is running a great offer for those making toys for the kids, buy one pattern and get one free!
A silent auction of amazing handmade items such as pottery and jewelry will be going on during this event as well. The money raised from the auction will be used to buy Hopkins gift cards for some families so they can eat while their kids are staying at the hospital.
What a great way to buy some holiday gifts and have the money go to a great cause!
Amigurumi toys that are already finished can be donated during the event, but items will be collected at the shop through the first of the year.
Food for this event is being donated by Chevys Fresh Mex in Arundel Mills, so come on by!!!!
